Well tonite I managed to do two loaves of french bread on my Traeger Grill. Usually I'm cooking ribs and buts on the Traeger but it also cooks a good loaf of bread. This grill cooks low and slow or fast and hot.

Charbroil Tech Grill

I really wanted to get a Tech infrared grill but they are to pricey for me. Last year I got the Charbroil - Tec combo grill from Lowes when they were 30% off. I have really enjoyed cooking on this grill. Check out those grill marks!! There was a problem with the grill that started all of a sudden. When I took it apart to see what was going on all the screws in the Tec burners had burnt up. Seems like other people had the same problem and Charbroil sent new ones 2nd day air. Hopefully everything is ok now. I highly recommend this grill.

Bread - Flour Water Salt Yeast

I make bread three or four times a week and I toss it out once a week. I don't eat it I just enjoy making it. In this picture is my special potato bread - dinner rolls - and artisan no knead bread. The birds gobbled it all up!

Akro Agate Or Not

I would like to know the manufacturer of this piece. If you know please send an email or leave a comment. I found a white one on the web and this is the description "Milk Glass Matchholder or Toothpick which is the Boy Shooting a Marble with a pack on his back. This is a French Vallerysthal piece and is a real beauty. It is approx. 3 ½" tall and is in excellent condition." It also says this piece dates to 1880. Could that be real?

What a view from our room in Atlantic City! - Casinos and more casinos. We discovered Atlantic City by mistake by going to the largest indoor flea market "Atlantique City" in search of Akro Agate glassware. We didn't find much Akro but we did find a new pastime.

Niagara Falls

Huge Milk Bottle

I have a friend that collects milk bottles. We went to Canada several years ago to see Niagara Falls and there was the largest milk bottle I have ever seen. I don't think I ever shared this photo with my friend but here it is.

Penny Pot

You will probably never see one of these in a antique mall. I was lucky enough to find this one in PA. several years ago. The penny was dated 1943. I no longer have this piece but I have the pictures. Always will be one of my favorites!!

Pot with weird hole

The flower pot on the right has an unusual hole knockout. I have had this for several years and have asked several experts about why it is different. Usually this pot is fully signed Akro Agate Co. Clarksburg WV. I was told that maybe it was a transitional piece. Recently one was listed on EBAY and it was a lampshade on a vintage lamp. To me it makes sense. What do you think?

Souvenir Akro Tab Ashtray

I don't think this ashtray was ever used. No burn spots like others I have. Don't you just want to go to Salt Lake City and pick up an ashtray souvenir?

Probably one of the best looking bowls I have owned. Bowls are one of my favorite Akro Agate items and this one was the best!!

Crystal Lamp Shade

Mexicalli Ashtray

If you know me I'm a sucker for Akro Agate bowls and decal pieces. This is my favorite decal piece for two reasons. First it is from Clarksburg WV the home of Akro. Second because it tells me that the Mexicali hats were marketed seperately as ashtrays. What do you think?
